چکیده

A new two-dimensional (2D) coordination polymer of the formula {Cu(ox)(4-Hmpz)·1/3H2O}n (1) (ox = oxalate and 4-Hmpz 4-methyl-1H-pyrazole) has been prepared, its structure determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. It consists corrugated oxalato-bridged copper(II) neutral layers featuring two alternating bridging modes group within each layer, symmetric bis-bidentate (?-?2O1,O2:?2O2?,O1?) asymmetric bis(bidentate/monodentate) (?4-?O1:?2O1,O2:?O2?:?2O2?,O1?) modes. The three crystallographically independent six-coordinate ions that occur in 1 have tetragonally elongated surroundings with oxygen atoms from ligands, a methylpyrazole-nitrogen defining equatorial plane, other oxalate-oxygen occupying axial positions. monodentate ligands alternatively extrude above below oxalate-bridged water molecules crystallization are located between layers. Compound exhibits fast selective adsorption methylamine vapors to afford adsorbate {Cu(ox)(4-Hmpz)·3MeNH2·1/3H2O}n (2), which is accompanied concomitant color change cyan deep blue. 2 transforms into {Cu(ox)(4-Hmpz)·MeNH2·1/3H2O}n (3) under vacuum for hours. cryomagnetic study 1–3 revealed unique switching strong weak (2 3) antiferromagnetic interactions. external control optical magnetic properties along this series compounds might make them suitable candidates devices chemical sensing.

Biogenic amine neurotransmitters in C. elegans.

Four biogenic amines: octopamine, tyramine, dopamine and serotonin act in C. elegans to modulate behavior in response to changing environmental cues. These neurotransmitters act at both neurons and muscles to affect egg laying, pharyngeal pumping, locomotion and learning. A variety of experimental approaches including genetic, imaging, biochemical and pharmacological analyses have been used to ...

Biogenic amine metabolism in Tourette syndrome.

Biogenic amine metabolism in the central nervous system of 9 children with Tourette syndrome was evaluated by quantitation of their metabolites in cerebrospinal fluid by a gas chromatographic/mass spectrometric method. Homovanillic acid (HVA), 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA), and 3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenylethylene glycol (MHPG) were measured in CSF before and after oral administration of pro...

Studies of the biogenic amine transporters. 14. Identification of low-efficacy "partial" substrates for the biogenic amine transporters.

Several compounds have been identified that display low-efficacy, "partial substrate" activity. Here, we tested the hypothesis that the mechanism of this effect is a slower rate of induced neurotransmitter efflux than that produced by full substrates. Biogenic amine transporter release assays were carried out in rat brain synaptosomes and followed published procedures. [(3)H]1-methyl-4-phenylpy...

Mechanisms of Biogenic Amine Neurotransmitter Transporters

The biogenic amine transporters, as described in Chapters 1, 3, and 5 of this book, terminate the action of released biogenic amine neurotransmitters. These transporters utilize norepinephrine (NE), dopamine (DA), and serotonin (5-HT), and are referred to as NET, DAT, and SERT, respectively. Interruption of their function by agents such as antidepressants and stimulants causes profound changes ...
